Dorset Council has confirmed that a new 30mph speed limit will come into force on Washpond Lane from 6 August 2026. The new limit will apply from the junction with High Street northwards for approximately 1.1km to Burnhams Lane.
The change is intended to extend the existing 30mph limit and improve road safety along this route.
