Invitation for Expression of Interest – Information Technology and Telecommunications Consultancy

Swanage Town Council invites expressions of interest from qualified companies to undertake a comprehensive review of its IT and telecommunications systems and produce a detailed specification for new equipment and ongoing support services. These documents will form a key part of a full IT and telecommunications tender process to be completed by Summer 2026.

Scope of Review

The review will include, but is not limited to:

All related IT and telecommunications equipment and services, including EPOS tills and multi-functional devices (MFDs).
Cybersecurity requirements, including compliance with UK GDPR and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Advice on cloud-based and hybrid services for resilience and scalability.
Hardware requirements to support current and future software applications.
Councillor support services (e.g., secure remote email access, laptops for accessing Council papers).
Assessment of purchase vs leasing options for hardware and software.
Recommendations for resilience planning and disaster recovery.
