Cleaner: Swanage Information Centre and Beach Huts - 1 Post
£13.28 per hour (Grade 2 SCP3)
4 hours per week – FIXED TERM CONTRACT - From ASAP to 31st March 2027
· Monday: 5.00pm to 6.00pm
· Friday: 5.00pm to 6.00pm
· Saturday: 7.00am to 9.00am
The Council is seeking a reliable and conscientious individual to undertake cleaning duties at the award-winning Swanage Information Centre and across the Council's beach huts along the seafront.
Cleaning of the Information Centre will normally be undertaken when the building is closed to the public on Monday and Friday evenings, although there may be some flexibility around the precise timing of these cleans by agreement.
On Saturday mornings, the role will involve cleaning and checking the beach huts between 7.00am and 9.00am, ensuring they are clean, presentable and ready for customers. Where there are insufficient beach huts requiring attention on a particular Saturday, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake other appropriate cleaning duties in support of the wider team.
During particularly busy periods, it may also be necessary to undertake additional beach hut cleaning on a Friday evening. Any additional hours worked will be paid at the normal hourly rate.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across all areas for which they are responsible.
All necessary cleaning equipment, materials and training will be provided.
