'Artisans on the Beach' Expression of Interest 2017/18

'Artisans on the Beach' is an event to be held on Swanage sea front from Saturday 25th November 2017 to Sunday 7th January 2018. Local crafters will be offered full use of a beach hut in Shore Road to sell high quality hand crafted products which they have produced themselves. Crafters will be charged from £45 to £75 for the period (depending on the weather, an upper level or lower level beach hut is allocated) which will include a contribution to the marketing and advertising of the event. This event was previously called 'Pop Up Shops'.
 
If you are interested in taking part in this event as a crafter please complete the questions via the link below, and your 'Expression of Interest' will be considered by the event organisers.
 

The purpose of this event is to:

  • Bring additional visitors into Swanage during what is generally a quiet period to support the local economy.
  • Optimise a resource for the benefit of the town - the beach huts.
  • Support local artisans and promote Swanage as a high-quality visitor destination.

All beach hut renters are expected to ensure that they maintain a high standard of presentation during the event. If the event is oversubscribed the event organisers will score the 'Expression of Interests' according to the three aims above.

Unfortunately, we are unable to allow drink, food or food based products to be sold as part of this event.

The deadline for submission is Sunday 3rd September 2017.

You will be advised by 19th September 2017 if you have been successful. The Event Organisers reserve the right to decline any applications if they fail to meet the aims identified above.
