Beach Gardens is a haven of activity from April to the end of September each year.
The beautiful gardens are nestled in between Northbrook Road and De Moulham Road, just off the beach.
Here you will find an 18 hole putting green that gives both adults and children hours of competition and fun.
The newly refurbished tennis courts are used by local residents and holidaymakers alike.
Basketball and Table Tennis facilities are also available.
Refreshments available
Refreshments are available at the 'Tea on the Green', our refreshment stop set amongst beautiful views of the gardens, the sea and the Purbeck Hills. Try one of our coffees whilst you take in the view.
The Tea on the Green offers a variety of coffees, hot & cold drinks, also light refreshments such as toasted teacakes and flapjacks.
We have a good selection of local products from Swanage and Purbeck, such as delicious Purbeck Ice cream and fresh Dorset Rose Ice lollies!
There is a lovely, accessible decked area where you can take a moment to sit down and enjoy the wonderful planting, trees, and fantastic views of the hills and bay.
Tea on the Green is proud to be a 'Plastic Free Champion', striving to eliminate single use plastic and to recycle where possible.

Opening Times
- Monday to Thursday 10.00am to 5.30pm (last putting at 4.30pm)
- Friday to Sunday 9.00am to 5.30pm (last putting at 4.30pm)
- Please note, there may be occasions when the facilities at Beach Gardens will be closed due to inclement weather conditions. Therefore, please telephone Swanage Information Centre in advance to check if the 'Tea on the Green ' kiosk is open. Tel: 01929 766018.
