Planning Applications

Dorset Council is the planning authority for Swanage

The Town Council is a consultee in respect of all planning applications in the Parish of Swanage. Town Councillors consider these applications at Planning and Consultation Committee Meetings, held on the first Monday of every month (except for Bank Holiday Mondays). Copies of Meeting Agendas, Planning Lists, and Minutes are available online (under the 'Council & Committee Meetings' drop-down menu).

Planning applications can also be viewed online through Dorset Council's website. To review the details, plans, and documents relating to planning applications, please click on the link to access the planning application search facility

Please make sure that you have the address and/or planning application number to hand when using this facility.

Councillors take into consideration all written representations regarding planning applications when making their comments, which are in turn sent to Dorset Council.

If you wish the Town Council to take your views into consideration, please email details to admin@swanage.gov.uk or, alternatively, in writing to the Town Hall, High Street, Swanage BH19 2NZ. Please include the address and reference number of the application you are referring to.

Thank you.
