Mayoral Information
This year's Mayor is Councillor Bill Trite. Bill has served on the Town Council since 1991. He graduated in economics, law and history at Bournemouth College (as it was) and has a working background in sales, marketing and general management in industry, with several years of self-employment. He came to live in Swanage in 1988 and was chairman of the Swanage Railway for 17 years until 2008, leading its close run fight against financial collapse in the 1990's and playing a major role in the expansion, which lies behind the Railway's success today.
