Market Traders
Swanage Market is held weekly on a Friday
ALL YEAR ROUND
from 8.00 a.m. until approximately 1.00 p.m. in
Main Beach car park

All traders must apply in advance and have their risk assessment approved before any payment will be taken
|
|
- We will only allow traders that sell items defined as ‘crafts and produce’, along with charity and community stalls
- We require traders to undertake a pre-approval application process (which includes significantly discounted fees compared to casual day fees)
- No cash to be taken on the day (credit / debit card payments only)
- Charities and community groups at no cost although they must be ‘pre-approved’
- Electric is charged at £5 per day

'Artisans at the Market'
The first Friday of every month from 7th April to 27th October - £15.00 per month – booked in advance.

How to make an application
Pre-approval is only required once for each season unless you start to sell different items or otherwise make a change to your business.
How to make payment
Once you have supplied all relevant documents and received approval by the Town Council, we will contact you by phone to take payment by credit or debit card. We will also be able to accept a BACS payment or cash (but only up to £250) if deposited at the Swanage Information Centre.
Licence
Once you have paid, you will be allocated a plot number, and a licence.
This licence should always be accessible, should you be requested to produce it by an Officer of the Town Council.
How will it work on the day?
You may arrive from 7.00 a.m. and trading may start at 8.00 a.m.
