The Town Council is delighted to announce that, for the third year running, Swanage Tourist Information Centre (TIC) has won a Bronze Award in the Tourist Information Service category of the Fourth Annual Dorset Tourism Awards 2016.
The Bronze Award was presented to the TIC team at an awards ceremony held at the Tank Museum in Bovington on Thursday 13th October 2016 - along with this award, the TIC will receive PR benefits, the use of a winner’s logo, access to winners’ plaques and stickers, and – for matching categories – will also be fast-tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in February 2017.
The judging panel, which included 'mystery shopping' activities, was looking for all elements of finalists' business to be excellent, through face to face contact, utilising information technology, and by responding to individual enquiries. Congratulations are given to the team at the TIC as this is a very significant achievement.
